What To Expect

Count on The Bair Foundation for answers and ongoing support

If you’re considering welcoming a foster child into your home, you probably have a lot of questions. The good news is that getting started is simple, and our team is here to help you through the entire process.

How to become a foster parent

Contact us, and within 48 hours, we will send you information that you can look over, pray about and discuss with your family.

We’ll then invite you to attend a no-commitment Foster Parent Info Night or orientation. You’ll be able to ask questions of our staff and meet other like-minded families as you consider if you’re ready to proceed with the pre-service training classes and certification requirements.

Regulations vary by state, and you will need to complete all necessary training, paperwork and background checks in order to be certified to take a child into your home. The Bair Foundation works to certify our foster parents within 60 days.

Throughout the process, we’ll work with you to make sure your questions are answered and any concerns are addressed.
