Professional Treatment Foster Care

Professional foster parents care for children who may have seen multiple placements, have resided in psychiatric hospitals or residential treatment centers and are hurting from past trauma or emotional disorders.

Helping these young people manage their thoughts, emotions and behaviors is a process and it takes a team. In addition to the extensive support and on-going coaching from The Bair Foundation, qualifying parents receive reimbursement for their child’s needs.

Professional foster families are needed in the areas of Dallas, San Antonio, Lubbock, Amarillo and Rio Grande Valley for short-term placements of 6-9 months.

As a Professional Treatment Foster Care parent, you’ll receive:

• A tax-free reimbursement of up to $50,000 per year
• Evidence-based training from a committed team of experts
• Support from a professional Treatment Coordinator with a small caseload
